Terms of Service

Legal

Welcome to leading.travel, the website of Leading Taiwan Travel Agency Co., Ltd. ("we" or "us"). By using this website or booking services on it, you agree to the following terms. This English version is provided for reference only; if there is any discrepancy, the Traditional Chinese version prevails.

1. Website content

Itineraries, experiences, prices and photos on this website are for reference only; the actual content is as stated in the order or quote we confirm.

Photos may differ from actual conditions depending on season, weather or the situation on site.

2. Bookings and minimum group size

  • Individuals may book online experiences. An experience goes ahead once the total number of bookings for the same day reaches its minimum group size.
  • Each booking has a maximum number of guests, as shown on each experience page.
  • If the minimum group size is not reached, we will notify you no later than 3 days before departure and handle it under our Cancellation & Refund Policy.
  • Journeys (routes, national parks, corporate travel and Europe journeys) cannot be purchased online directly. Our team will quote based on your needs, and the contract is formed once both sides confirm.

3. Prices and payment

  • Prices on this website are in New Taiwan Dollars (NT$) and exclude 5% business tax, which is added at checkout.
  • After you book online, we will email you a credit card payment link (Taishin Bank Link Pay) within 1 business day. Your booking is confirmed once payment is complete.
  • For journey services, deposits, balances and payment deadlines are as stated in the quote or travel contract.

4. Cancellations, date changes and refunds

These are handled under our Cancellation & Refund Policy (https://leading.travel/en/refund-policy/).

5. Travel contracts

Our travel services follow the standard domestic (or international) travel contracts published by the Tourism Administration, Ministry of Transportation and Communications. If these terms conflict with the travel contract, the travel contract prevails.

6. Insurance

We hold travel agency liability insurance as required by law; coverage and amounts are as stated in the policy.

Some experiences are separately insured by our partners, as shown on each experience page.

We recommend that travelers take out their own travel accident insurance as needed.

7. Traveler responsibilities

  • Provide accurate and complete information when booking. Any loss caused by incorrect information is the traveler's responsibility.
  • Follow the safety instructions of tour leaders, guides and on-site staff during activities.
  • Respect local Indigenous cultures and follow the rules of national parks and natural areas, so we can travel sustainably together.

8. Force majeure

If a trip cannot go ahead or must be changed because of natural disasters, epidemics, government orders, transport disruption or other causes not attributable to us, it will be handled under the travel contract and applicable law.

9. Intellectual property

The text, photos, images and design of this website belong to us or the original rights holders. They may not be reproduced, adapted or used commercially without permission.

10. Limitation of liability

We do our best to keep the website running and its information accurate, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Losses caused by third-party websites or services (such as payment or maps) are handled under the terms of those providers.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). In the event of a dispute, both parties agree that the Taiwan Hualien District Court shall be the court of first instance.

12. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms, and any changes will be posted on this page. By continuing to use this website after a change, you agree to the revised terms.
