The southern islands of Penghu are known for their deep blue waters, basalt landscapes, coral reef ecosystems and outer-island villages. This 2-day, 1-night journey departs from Jiangjun Fishing Harbor in Tainan and links Dongyuping and Dongji Island by ferry, island walks and water activities.

On day one, you dive into the waters of Dongyuping, with snorkeling, a village tour, a lobster lunch and water activities at Starfish Bay, for an immersive introduction to marine and island life. On day two, a morning walk introduces Dongji Island’s temple, lighthouse, weather station and historic sites, followed by local cuisine and the island’s traditional “bao songs” before returning to Tainan.

Snorkel the Underwater World

Snorkeling lessons and time in the water, led by trained staff, introduce the marine ecology of South Penghu.

Dongyuping Village Walk

Go ashore to explore a traditional village and learn about outer-island life through its stone houses, island traditions and maritime culture.

Starfish Bay Water Activities

Try SUP, a sea slide and a floating "magic carpet" for a variety of ocean fun.

Lobster Lunch & Sunset Tea

Water activity age limits: participants in snorkeling, SUP, the sea slide, the floating "magic carpet" and other activities must be aged 4 to 65; children aged 4–11 must be accompanied and supervised throughout by a parent or adult companion. Final participation depends on the day's sea conditions, each person's physical condition and the instructors' safety assessment.
This journey is affected by the season, sailings and sea conditions; actual routes, landing points and the order of activities are determined by the boat operator and on-site safety judgment.
In case of strong winds and waves, heavy rain, typhoons or maritime restrictions, the trip may be postponed, canceled or changed to an alternative itinerary.
Snorkeling and water activities require following instructors' directions and wearing life-saving equipment at all times; please let us know when you sign up if you are not a confident swimmer.
Water activities are not recommended for anyone within six months of surgery, or with heart disease, high blood pressure, epilepsy, diabetes, asthma, ear conditions, a cold or any other condition a doctor considers unsuitable for sea activities; pregnant women may not participate.
We recommend bringing swimwear, non-slip water shoes, sun protection, a hat, a change of clothes, a dry bag and your own seasickness medication.
Accommodation on the outer islands is limited, so rooms may be shared or split across lodgings; please refer to the details confirmed before departure.
