Starting from the Taijiang waterfront, fishing village life and the national park's green architecture, this 2-day, 1-night slow journey through Tainan links boat rides, fishing experiences, archaeology, food and farming education and lakeside ecology.

Taijiang’s appeal goes beyond salt fields and fishing villages to include wetland ecology, village life and the cultural traditions that have developed across Tainan. This 2-day, 1-night journey sets out from THSR Tainan Station and, by coach, boat and on foot, links Taijiang National Park, Mazugong Jiukuaicuo, the Southern Taiwan Science Park Archaeology Museum, the Ximei Community Food and Farming Education Farm and Daoye Lake.

Moving from the coastal waterfront to farming villages and lakes, the journey uses boat rides, fishing, guided archaeology tours and food and farming activities to introduce Tainan’s natural environment and local culture through everyday life.

The Taijiang National Park Visitor Center is closed on Mondays, so this journey does not depart on Mondays.
Taijiang Fishing Paradise boat rides must be booked in advance; actual sailing depends on weather, water levels and on-site safety conditions.
Activities at Mazugong Jiukuaicuo Eco Park are limited to participants aged 3 and up; actual content follows the arrangements on the day.
Scheduled guided tours at the Southern Taiwan Science Park Archaeology Museum require on-site registration after entry, and session times may change.
Food and farming activities in the Ximei Community vary with the season, crops and farm arrangements.
Wear comfortable, non-slip walking shoes and bring water, sun protection, insect repellent and rain gear.
